Create and manage projects with reporting

Desktop application with multiple features including reporting and user management. The desktop app works in sync with Mobile apps which were also created by us. This company is into home inspections and were struggling a lot to manage their projects and in creating reports.

Problem statement

Deckinspectors does a lot of home inspections and provides estimates based on the repairs required. These inspections include

  • - visiting to the buildings/apartments and flats.
  • - capturing images of the affected areas and note down all the issues.
  • - creation of reports based on the images and the details collected.
  • - revisit those locations again for another conclusive(detailed) inspections.
The biggest challenge was to keep a track of which images belong to which location or apartment. This becomes even more tougher in case a particular inspection includes multiple flats and different places in a flat. 80% of the time was spent in sorting and mapping pictures with the correct details.

Our Solution

Multi Tier application including Desktop app and Mobile app.

  • DeckInspectors desktop app for Project mamangement.
  • Deck mobile app for capturing the pictures and adding the details.
  • Web API for making the sync process real time.
Now with this solution multiple site inspectors can work independently without worrying of mixing up the pictures and keep a track of which images belong to which apratment or locations.
The data sync is real and is available for the admin, sitting back in office to keep a track of which locations or buildings inspectors have visited and if any more info is required. Desktop app has additional feature of User Managment and Report creation
Reports include generation of Word and PDF version of the projects with all the images and their details in a beautiful formatted tables.
This boosted the company's productivity 10X.
